PRIDDY GUITAR ACADEMY FACULTY

LEE PRIDDY

Lee has been playing the guitar for over 22 years. He has studied with jazz guitarist Sheryl Bailey Jimmy Cunningham, and George Thomas. Lee has performed in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, and Tennessee in clubs, concerts, festivals, and opening acts. He is definitely no stranger to a session recording studio either, having put out a CD with musical group The Melons back in the 90's. He is currently putting together his second CD album, this one a solo work. He is still performing live around the Maryland Area in addition to devoting great attention to his students. Lee is also currently teaching guitar on the faculty of Indian Creek Upper School in Crownsville, MD. Lee recently volunteered his time leading a guitar clinic for area high school guitarists at Broadneck High School's guitar festival; he also played a duet with one of his students during the performances.

Don't just take our word for how good Lee is, read this testimonial from Mike Husselbee, Guitar class coordinator at Oak Hill Elementary School in Severna Park: "Lee Priddy has been teaching an after school guitar class at Oak Hill in Severna Park for several years. While students come and go during the three sessions per year he has maintained a core group on this most difficult of instruments. His teaching technique combines traditional finger position and note learning with his own fun to play tab versions of classic songs. He encourages the children to take their instrument seriously while showing them the level they could reach with his always popular electric amplified session."
